Extended Care Assistants

St. Vincent de Paul Preschool in Mount Vernon, Ohio would like to hire part-time Program Assistants for our in-house day care program.

Extended Care hours are from 2:45-5:30pm

PSEC (Preschool) hours are Tuesdays/Thursdays/Fridays from 10:45-3:30pm

The Program Assistant will:

• interact with preschool students in a loving, positive, joyful manner, be a good role model, and help children learn good behavior

• help lead activities and games, read stories, prep crafts, etc.

• help supervise children in the classroom, on the playground, in the gym, etc.

• help in the classroom in other ways, such as organizing, cleaning, etc.

• follow safety and health guidelines

• interact respectfully with all school staff.

The successful candidate will be an energetic team player, take direction from the Preschool Extended Care Director and team leader, be comfortable upholding the religious (Catholic/Christian) teachings of the school, be reliable, and will have experience with children. Must have a high school diploma, be able to use stairs, and lift a child up to 40 pounds.
