Preschool (Aide) Position Opening

St. Vincent de Paul Preschool in Mount Vernon, Ohio would like to hire a part-time

Preschool Aide for the 2026-2027 school year, September through May, with regular

school breaks off.

The days and hours for this position are as follows:

Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.

-AND -

Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays from 7:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with a 1.25 hour lunch break.

This position will not exceed 28 hours per week.

The Preschool Aide will:

• interact with preschool students in a loving, positive, joyful manner, be a good role

model, and help children learn good behavior;

• assist with all areas as directed by the Preschool Teacher and Extended Care Director:

circle time, art projects, math activities, science experiments, games, snacks, songs,

stories, lunch, nap, etc.;

• supervise children in the classroom, on the playground, in the gym, etc.;

• help in other ways, such as organizing, cleaning, etc.;

• follow safety and health guidelines.

The successful candidate will be an energetic team player, take direction from the

Preschool Teacher and the Extended Care Director, be comfortable upholding the

religious (Catholic/Christian) teachings of the school, be reliable, and will have

experience with children. Must have a high school diploma, be able to use stairs, and lift

a child up to 40 pounds.
