

Sharon Tharp
6th Grade Homeroom Teacher, 6th-8th Grade Physical Education, 6th-8th Grade Health, 6th Grade Science
Mrs. Tharp has been teaching at St. Vincent school since 1998. She graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Community and Outdoor Recreation Education and then went on to receive a teaching certificate for grades 1-8. She earned a Master’s degree in Education as a Library/Media Specialist form Mansfield University in Pennsylvania. Mrs. Tharp teaches 6th grade Science and Religion, 5th-8th grades Physical Education, 6th-8th grades Health and is the school’s media specialist. She is co-chair for the Diocesan Battle of the Books competition and for the Knox County 5th grade Battle of the Books competition. In addition, Mrs. Tharp judges Science Fair at the District and State levels. She and her husband have three grown children who are graduates of St. Vincent de Paul School. In her spare time, Mrs. Tharp enjoys reading, swimming, quilting, knitting and spending time with her grandson.
