Our dedicated, hard-working team of faculty and staff makes St. Vincent de Paul School and Preschool what it is today. The faculty has over 200 years of combined teaching experience. Seventy-five percent of our graduates continue to play high school sports and eight out of ten of our graduates attend college. We have been honored as a “Buckeye Best School” award and grant recipient since 2003, we are listed in the Global Directory of Who’s Who, and we are accredited by the state of Ohio through the Ohio Catholic School Accrediting Association.
Janet DeRoo7th grade Homeroom Teacher, 6th-8th Language Arts
Ms. DeRoo has been instructing 5th through 8th grade students in Language Arts at St. Vincent School since 1999. She graduated from James Madison University and SUNY Albany. Encouraging students to love reading and become accomplished writers is a significant focus of her instruction. She also coaches the 7th and 8th grades Power of the Pen writing teams. Helping the 8th graders create the yearbook allows for another type of creative expression. Driving around in The Bug, traveling, creating quilts, working on mission trips, and spending time with family and friends fill the rest of Ms. DeRoo’s time.
